Springfield’s heritage is founded on agriculture. The back room of the Museum has a conglomeration of agricultural items but given their importance – the SHS needed a barn to highlight them! l And what better way to bring Springfield’s heritage to life than to organize a real barn raising!
The Springfield Historical Society added a post and beam barn adjacent to the Museum to house this collection of agricultural tools and implements. With locally sourced lumber and a slew of volunteers we raised the barn in Summer 2022. Thank you for your support!
